National Minimum Wage Increase 2014
The 2014 National Minimum Wage (NMW) increase takes place on October 1st.
Here’s a summary of what’s happening:
- The rate for workers aged 21 and over will be £6.50
- For workers 18-20 the rate will be £5.13
- For workers aged 16-17 the rate will be £3.79
- The apprentice rate, for apprentices under 19 or those in the first year of their apprenticeship will be £2.73. If you’re 19 or over and past your first year you get the rate applicable to your age.
